I had a wonderful time! No, it’s not a vacation but as close as. Spending six days with native Czech speakers and talking to them in English the entire day was stimulating and such a wonderful experience. I met so many wonderful people from all over the globe, heard their stories and learned an English dance! I cannot stress enough how much this opportunity allowed me to grow both mentally (You think of different ways to describe recycling products!) and socially. I made some true friends in those six days. People I would never have met otherwise. People from all walks of life-union leaders, doctors, judges, business owners, pharmacists, and everyday moms and dads trying to connect with their children in English. It really amazed me that so many just wanted to improve communication with their family. If you have the chance to volunteer for this outstanding program, I suggest you do it simply for the education and growth you will have by the end of the classes. The speaking improvement displayed by the students was remarkable and measurable. They truly wanted to learn English. I am just pleased I was part of their journey.
